Brixton Finishing School x House 337

I’m an alumnus of Brixton Finishing School, a program dedicated to educating and empowering talent from underrepresented communities in the creative and advertising industries.

Problem:
Brixton Finishing School opened a unique opportunity for 3 alumni to design the packaging for their house beer.

My Contribution:
I was selected to take part in this project and created an original beer label for Brixton Finishing School. I developed the design based on creative feedback from a supervisor at House 337.

These are some of the other beer designs I’ve worked on, created using Adobe Illustrator.
I began by researching existing beer label designs for inspiration and sketched out several initial ideas. One piece of feedback I received early on was to incorporate more colour into my concepts. Taking that on board, I explored different palettes and experimented further to develop more vibrant and visually engaging designs.

The Development
I incorporated feedback with the summer theme in mind, using watercolour textures to bring the design to life. Keeping the original layout consistent, I refined and reimagined the label to create this updated version.

Outcome: Brixton Finishing School displayed my beer label works for the networking event.

In addition, I had the opportunity for my work to be showcased to potential clients, giving the design real-world visibility and impact.
